The Covid-19 Pandemic and Growing Inequality

On Nov 11, the panel participated in a conversation illustrating how and why economic and social rights can be implemented during this tumultuous age. With the global pandemic continuing to exacerbate systemic inequalities, there is a moral imperative to address and respect the human rights of those suffering due to societal failures.

Our current system is unsustainable and many BIPOC communities and individuals are disproportionately suffering from the immense effects that Covid-19 has had on various aspects of life. This is a time for fundamental change within our economic systems and social structures, which leads to the question -- how can these inequities be best addressed?
