The Urban Indian Health Institute reported, in 2019, that 95% of MMIWG cases are never covered in national or international media. In October of 2020, Congress passed Savanna’s Act, a Public [bipartisan] Law aimed to improve the federal response to missing or murdered Indigenous persons (MMIP), including by increasing coordination among Federal, State, Tribal, and local law enforcement agencies (DOJ). This roundtable conversation will detail Savanna's Act and actions you can take to amplify the MMIWG epidemic.
